What is a Mobile Website?
|
When you access a website from a personal computer you'll see that it doesn't look the same as when you access it from a mobile device.
This happens because the mobile web browser doesn't support the options of a PC browser and the screen is much smaller. Through the mobile website, clients need to be guided to your place using Google Maps.

What is the difference between an ordinary website and one for mobile?
The main difference is the fact that the screen of mobile phones is much smaller, making it necessary to re-organize information and make it more focused. Only the basic info must be kept, in a design adapted for the mobile screen size. If we're talking about a blog or a product catalog (from an online shop), the simple display of content is essential.
E.g: If we wish to be found by foreign tourists, then we have to focus on guiding them to our venue.
The most important content and the main navigation elements have to be placed in the upper part of the page and this is because it's hard to navigate on a screen of a few inches where you have to use vertical or horizontal scrolling.
The browser of a mobile phone doesn't have too many buttons. I'm saying this because the majority of those who access the internet from mobile devices don't have very performant devices.
Knowing these, we will place navigation buttons on the web page to make it easy to go forward, back and other links to make up for the lack of buttons in the browser.
These are just a few basics for creating a mobile website 101. |
